Continental silver salver, marked J 'A' HERLINGSSCHAU, HOPPEGARTEN, Oktober 1933. On reverse: 835 Louis Werner. Presented to Richard Sampson, a recehorse owner in Hamburg, when his horse won a race. Mr Sampson, who was Jewish, escaped to Sweden, then England, in 1935. (Est. £80-120)
